Section 1: What is a Manager?

Overview

A manager is defined as a person responsible for controlling or administering a clinic or group of staff.

A clinic manager holds many responsibilities in overseeing the well-functioning of their clinic, including its staffing, finances, compliance, development of policies and protocols, and delivery of safe effective patient care. Clinic managers work diligently to ensure the needs of the clinic, the clients and its medical practitioners and staff are met.  Different clinics may encompass additional requirements as part of the clinic manager role i.e. marketing, business strategy.

Managers plan, organize, budget, coordinate, control and execute activities within existing structures. In independent aesthetic clinics managers can also be leaders who create vision, set a direction, and inspire and align people to accomplish goals. They build new relationships and structures.
